This afternoon as I was watering my plants on our back deck, I moved some of my lime green potato vines to get down to the soil and got a surprise.
A little green toad who desperately tried to hide under the leaves, instead of being exposed. I would have thought he might hop out but I think he likes the damp soil and the shade on this hot day. Obviously he hasn't heard about my photography skills or he would have!
Kermit put it best I think when he sang, "It's not easy being green". I sure hope this little fella soon finds a body of water to luxuriate in.
