We Remember With Love

"All Saints celebrates the baptized people of God, living and dead, who are the body of Christ.  As November heralds the dying of the landscape in many northern regions, the readings and liturgy call us to remember all who have died in Christ, and whose baptism is complete. At the Lord's table we gather with the faithful of every time and place, trusting that the promises of God will be fulfilled and that all tears will be will be wiped away in the new Jerusalem."

Copied from, Sunday and the Seasons, a Worship planning guide, for  2011, Year A, used by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

Today we celebrated All Saints Day and as is the custom in many of our churches, candles with lighted by members of the congregation in memory of.  It was touching to see our oldest Grandson light a candle to honour his dear Grandfather, Earl.  Earl, a man truly loved and missed by his family, and by his friends.  I lit one for my Dear Dad and My Beloved lit one for his Dear Dad.

Following Worship, I took a picture of the memorial tribute table.

Rest in Peace Dear Ones
