Working Like a Dog

Whoever said it's a dog's life isn't a dog.

Meet Rusty.  He had a stroke in his spine.  Lost his job.  Got better, but is now unemployable.  Gee thanks.

Every dog has his day is another phrase that springs to mind.

Rusty is a retired Police Dog and is living the good life down the street.  A neighbour working as a police officer "adopted" him, and is in the process of socializing him.  He has a few leftover habits, he doesn't like anyone who runs, doesn't like anyone who rides bikes.  In his former life these actions were cause for a call to action. My poor Beloved, he does both and is always a little wary when he goes by the house.  So far so good, he's avoided being attacked!  Rusty is a work in progress and we have seen a huge change over these past 6 or so months.  This Service Dog has his Badge and Great Retirement Benefits.  Lots of love and good folks who think he's the best, except, when they have him in the car and he BARKS at everything and anything!  Got to work on that Rusty!

A guess it's not so bad being a dog after all!  Thank you Rusty.

Good Boy Rusty, Good Boy!

 HAPPY TUESDAY!
