Tour de Delta

Last night we met our friends Marilyn and Ron who also just happen to be our son-in-law, Tyler's parents.  They invited us to join them in Ladner for an early supper then to watch the road races.

It was perfect race weather.

After catching up on what's been going on in our lives, and yes kids we did talk about you, were your ears burning?, we strolled back to our cars, picked up our chairs and walked to the race route.  Before we even scoped out a spot, we heard a familiar voice calling out to us.  Our daughter April was already there with her family and her in-laws too.  So we made great big group.

It was fun to watch the young cousins playing together.  The little girls were a great cheering squad each time the cyclists went by.  Here are a few pictures of Abby and her cousin, "E".

My best shot of the day
I just love the sound of the wheels as they fly by, and the wind they create--fantastic.

The shot that got away?  You know I always have one, would have been when it was just the 6 grandparents left and My Beloved said we should do the wave! We did too and laughed our heads off.  Why didn't I ask that volunteer in orange to take our picture?

Who won?  We don't know, but we sure have fun cheering them all on.

I sure hope someone cheered you on today.

Happy Sunday.
