That's Garbage!

We do a lot of recyling in our home.  We sort the glass, the plastics, the tin cans, the newspapers, the "green waste including garden clippings," and last but not least, the actual garbage that goes in the garbage can.

Today on day 8, because of the long-weekend, it's day 8 for curb-side pickup, we still have only 1 not-full, plastic bag that goes curbside for the dump.  I use the word dump, because the PC word landfill, is just pretty-fied up, when in fact, we are dumping our garbage into the ground and covering it up.

I am fairly certain the Waste Management guys are of two minds about picking up at our place.

1.  They like our place, because the garbage can certainly isn't too heavy to heft into the truck,

and,

2.  at the same time feel like the visit to our home is not worthy of a pickup for just 1 little bag.

Other than Christmas or festivities such as Thanksgiving and other family celebrations, that's it, 1 bag, and 1 bag only and we feel pretty good about that.  I can't imagine not recycling anymore, it blows my mind to think about all of the things we used to put in our garbage cans.  Unlike Kermit the frog who sang, "it's not easy being green", in our home it is.

That's just plain garbage!

I'll stop "wasting" your time now.

Happy Thursday!
